Paul Zamek is a highly accomplished Owner’s Representative and executive with over 25 years of expertise in consulting, planning, and construction administration. While his roots are deeply embedded in educational facilities and campus development, Zamek’s portfolio reflects a sophisticated range of sectors, including academic institutions, institutional landmarks, mixed-use developments, hospitality, and high-end residential projects.​

With a profound understanding of both project execution and organizational leadership, he has successfully managed and delivered numerous multimillion-dollar initiatives, overseeing more than $2 billion in development and expansion for premier institutions and private developers across the United States.

As a Harvard-certified executive in operational leadership, Zamek stands out for his ability to bridge the gap between technical construction oversight and overarching strategic objectives. He expertly navigates complex projects, ensuring alignment with budget constraints and regulatory requirements while fostering seamless communication among diverse stakeholders—from boards and investors to faculty, vendors, and community leaders.

A foundation in architectural excellence Zamek’s career began in architecture at the prestigious firms of Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Cooper, Robertson & Partners in New York City. His global expertise was further solidified as a Managing Director at OBM International, where he led high-stakes global hospitality projects, navigating the intricacies of international development and luxury standards. Zamek also served as Vice President at Kirksey Architecture, where he focused on civic and cultural landmarks.

 

Executive Leadership & Evolution: Zamek spent 15 years serving as a Chief Operating Officer, most recently at Gulliver Preparatory School, where he integrated operational strategy with large-scale institutional growth. This deep immersion in executive leadership allowed him to master the art of "bridging the gap"—ensuring that a project’s physical development perfectly aligns with its long-term financial and operational goals.

 

Throughout his career, Zamek has built an impressive portfolio of representative clients and collaborations, delivering excellence for industry real estate development leaders such as Hines and Arvida, leading high-stakes international hospitality projects for premier brands such as The Ritz-Carlton and Disney, cultural institutions highlighted by Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, as well as world-renowned academic institutions including Stanford University and Yale University.

Professional Affiliations & Community. A former board member of the Episcopal Diocese of Southeast Florida, Zamek remains active in the National Business Officers Association (NBOA) and various Executive associations. His leadership ensures that every Capital Z project—whether a boutique hotel, a mixed-use tower, or a university library—is executed with the precision of an architect and the foresight of a CEO.

 

Zamek is married with two daughters and resides in Miami, Florida.
